The Inside Scoop

This project involved an overhaul of the existing site for Crystal Clear Concepts, including a complete redesign.

In short, I basically built it from the ground up, recycling some of the old content.

My client wanted a design that reflected her professional attitude—strength, femininity, and business savvy. Her logo was red, so I went with a split-complimentary blue and purple palate to emphasize those qualities.

Additionally, not all the pages have a ton of content, so I focused on keeping the design looking sharp regardless of the volume of text on screen. The result is a versatile and uncluttered site which looks professional and inviting.

I also put together a series of custom banners with quotations that correspond to different pages on the site and made them load according to which page is being viewed. Admittedly a simple trick, but an effective way to spice up the design.

Lastly, I integrated the server with CloudFlare’s CDN to maximize performance.
