The craziest part of this campaign was that I didn’t have a chance to produce and schedule it in advance—so I was literally making the emails from my laptop in the back of our booth during the show. o.O
Client: Laceworks Jewelry makes handcrafted filigree in silver and gold using techniques that are more than 5000 years old.
Project Description: Produce a three part email campaign to bring our clients out to the Bellevue Festival of the Arts, a highly prestigious art show in Bellevue, Washington.
A Quote
“We’ll have gorgeous new summer and fall designs on display, including our latest in elegant, lace-like creations… 3D Filigree.
That’s right—get all the Laceworks beauty you know and love, now with 50% more dimension! ;-)”
The Inside Scoop
Full Disclosure: I’ve been working as the Executive Director for Laceworks Jewelry since late 2013. With the unique skill set I provide, I have built the Laceworks brand from the ground up, both in print and on the web.
The Campaign
Getting accepted into the Bellevue Festival of the Arts is a pretty big deal.
Getting accepted on our first year applying—while using our own in-house photography—is HUGE.
The goal of this campaign was entirely to mobilize our collectors, past-clients, and subscribers in general to come see us at the festival.
The craziest part of this campaign was that I didn’t have a chance to produce and schedule it in advance—so I was literally making the emails from my laptop in the back of our booth during the show. o.O
Total madness.
But we had a great response, and the campaign was a solid success.
My Favorite Part
The fancy image advertisement at the top of the second and third emails—we’ve really got to do more of those in the future. (Oh yeah, that and not having to mask out the filigree in the photo by hand in Photoshop…)
