Laceworks Jewelry Mothers Day 2015 campaign by Peter Chordas

Laceworks Jewelry – Email Marketing
“Mother’s Day 2015”

This campaign was primarily to let our local Portland clients know that we’d be at the Gathering of the Guilds as part of the Creative Metal Art’s Guild contingent.

Client: Laceworks Jewelry makes handcrafted filigree in silver and gold using techniques that are more than 5000 years old.

Project Description: Create a one-off email primarily focused on bringing clients out to see us at the Gathering of the Guilds trade show.

A Quote

“Since we mill our filigree wire in-house, we’ve been able to produce greater detail and finer texture in our works than ever before.”

The Inside Scoop

Full Disclosure: I’ve been working as the Executive Director for Laceworks Jewelry since late 2013. With the unique skill set I provide, I have built the Laceworks brand from the ground up, both in print and on the web.

The Campaign

This campaign was primarily to let our local Portland clients know that we’d be at the Gathering of the Guilds as part of the Creative Metal Art’s Guild contingent.

Secondly, we had just begun to mill our own fine silver filigree wire in house, and we deemed the improvement worthy of sharing with our subscribers.

As a result of the email, we did get some good past-client turnout to the show, and thus deemed it a success.

My Favorite Part

Definitely NOT masking each piece of filigree by hand in Photoshop in order to get a gradient background between the wires. The reflection was also added in post—ugh… (We’ve since massively improved our photo production pipeline to avoid this kind intensive post-production work on our jewelry shots.)
